Noise Pollution is interested in supporting, promoting and making available the efforts of other bands and labels from Louisville's punk community. The titles that are available here are primarily from years gone by, are in limited quantities and are otherwise hard to find. For those interested in exploring our city's punk rock heritage we offer this as a good place to start. From time to time we will be acquiring new titles in order to make it easier for you to hear these hard to find recordings.

BUSH LEAGUE Discography 18 song CDr. $10 OUT OF STOCK
In the early 1990's, the uncanny Bush League were a headlining band in the Louisville punk scene along with contemporaries such as Endpoint, Crain, and Evergreen. Bush League had also managed to make a name for themselves outside of the city with frequent appearances in Nashville, Atlanta, Miami, etc... This disc contains 18 tracks of the trademark Bush League sound; metal dirges mixed with thrashy punk capped off by Buzz Minnick's maniacal vocals. This discography, released in 1998, compiles their three Better Days Records seven inches, various compilation tracks and unreleased demos.

KINGHORSE Kinghorse 11 song LP. $5 OUT OF STOCK
Not much more can be said about Kinghorse that hasn't already been said. Probably the most revered and influential band in the city's history. Kinghorse was a local supergroup from its inception with roots placed in bands such as Malignant Growth, Solution Unknown, Maurice and Fading Out. Imagine Bad Brains crossed with Black Sabbath times ten and you would be in the right ballpark. This is their debut album that was released by Caroline Records in November of 1990. The release of this album firmly established the `Horse as the top band in Louisville, but also started the band down the road to self destruction.

KINGHORSE Too Far Gone 19 song CD. $5 OUT OF STOCK
The conflicting personalities within the band and external pressure from Caroline finally caused Kinghorse to implode in the summer of 1992. While the band lay dormant, the legend and mystique of the `Horse continued to grow. In 1994 the Slamdek Record Company with help from the former members of the band, compiled a discography of Kinghorse's unreleased demo material. The disc contained two sessions of demos from the never recorded second Caroline album and one session of their first demo recordings from 1988. Collaborating on this CD reignited their interest in the band, which led to 3/4 of the original lineup reuniting with a new bass player to give it another shot. Many shows, drunken disasters and a near-riot later, Kinghorse again self destructed in 1996.

Month of Sundays were part of a movement of bands that came out of Louisville's East End in 1994 that helped breathe life into the city's underground scene. Did You Bury Yourself Again? is their 1995 debut album. Nine schizophrenic songs with an unintentionally low-fi production that go from more pop-structured tunes to noisy, chaotic rock. Month of Sundays went through several lineup changes over the years and officially disbanded in 1999. Members of Month of Sundays went on to be in bands such as The Helgeson Story, My Morning Jacket and Panure.

PULSE Abandoned 3 song 7". $3.50
Pulse was a two man outfit with Aaron Hodge on bass/vocals and Mike Weiss on guitar vocals. They were accompanied by a drum machine. Dark, mechanical, heavy stuff. This record came out in 1993 and was somewhat out of character for what was going on in town at that time. Pulse also released a full length cassette. Aaron went on to be in Wino and Mr. Panic Button. Mike went on to play with The Loved.
(Three Little Girls)

SIX HORSE Don't Doubt Annie 2 song 7". $3.50
Six Horse's Louisville connection comes from the fact the one of the members of the band, Shannon Burns, played in the early/mid eighties punk band Brain Dead and that this seven inch was released by Louisville's Three Little Girls Recordings in 1994. Six Horse were from Pittsburg and the other two members of the band had played with Blunderbuss and Don Caballero. Sort of in the Jesus Lizard vein.
(Three Little Girls)
